It was about 2:00 A.M. the other morning and I couldn't sleep so I turned on the TV. It happened to be on a Christian station and there was a young woman singing. She had a beautiful voice and a beautiful personality as well.
When she finished her song she began to talk about an experience she had with her young son, who was only 3 years old at the time. She said he began to have bad dreams, which eventually turned into night terrors. She shared how hard it was for her to have her precious little boy suffering such fear and torment from these horrible nightmares.
She taught him Bible verses hoping this would alleviate the night terrors. She prayed with him before he went to sleep and then she remembered a little song her mother had taught her. She said the song had brought her much comfort, so she decided to teach it to him.
The song was about angels. I can't remember all the words, but it went something like this:
"Angels are in front of me, up above me, behind me, they're all around me........"
As I listened to her sing this heavenly little song, it gave me chills and brought such comfort all at the same time. She said after she taught him the song he began to sing it. The night terrors left him and have not returned. He now sleeps peacefully at night.
Thank God for His ministering angels. The next time you feel disturbed, worried, fearful and can't sleep, just remember His angels are all around you too.
