Get Real!

I do not like a phony. Most people will tell you the reason they don't go to church is because there are hypocrites there. People want you to be real, so church let's get real! The world wants to see:

1. Church that is real, authentic, and relevant.
2. Real love, concern, and compassion.
3. Christians excited about the God they worship first, and then their local church.
4. Givers, not selfish, childish christianettes.
5. Worship with heartfelt praise and enthusiasm.
6. A church that is making an impact on the community. Let people know your there!

We must be a body of real believers, touching real people, with real problems. So church, wake up and get real. Yeah, real involved with hurting, hopeless people!!!

God Showed Up

Sunday evening the Praise & Worship team started singing as usual. They sounded good. When we began to sing the worship song, "Hallelujah, Hallelujah", I got a vision and something just erupted in my spirit! When we sang the phrase, "He has broken chains that bind me", I felt the chains of bondage fall off me. But the vision I received was one of clearly seeing how the devil had bound me, my family, our church, our young people, and our community. Something in me broke and I began to speak in tongues as the Spirit gave me utterance. I then gave the interpretation in which the Holy Spirit said to the church, "No more devil! No more devil! We have the victory! No more devil! No more devil and revival will come to Fayette." After this there was such freedom in the church. We had a time in the presence of the Lord! God is good!He is so awesome!

Several young people went to the altar and older people too, and we all just basked in the sweet, holy, presence of the living God! I believe it is the start of something new in our little community. I believe revival is coming! I believe the chains of darkness have been broken and we have won the war that was waging in the heavenlies! I believe we are going to see great and mighty things and the miracles have already begun.

On Monday night we met again for a time of praying and seeking the Lord. The handful that was there prayed and it seemed like we were all prayed out by ten minutes after seven o'clock. (We started at seven). Has that ever happened to you? Then my husband, who is a minister, called everyone up to pray over some handkerchiefs like the Apostle Paul did. We prayed and God's holy presence entered that room. My husband then called a young lady to stand in our circle of prayer who was suffering immensely from back pain. She was walking crooked as she stepped to the center. We passed the oil around, (we believe in laying hands on the sick and anointing them with oil, and they shall recover just like it says in the Holy Bible). As we laid our hands upon her the power of God fell and she lifted her hands toward the Healer, whose name is above all names, whose name is Jesus, the alpha and omega. The tears began to fall down her cheeks as she began to give thanks to the One who touched her and made her whole. We all began to shout aloud with a voice of triumph and praise the Holy One of Israel because he healed this young lady instantly!! She walked away straight as an arrow. My husband asked her how her back was and she replied with the joy of the Lord all over her face, "the pain is gone and I feel fine!!"

If you need anything tonight, look to the One who can do the impossible. His name is Jesus and He wants to touch you and make you whole. Give it all to Him. Don't hold anything back. He's calling you, yes you! Don't turn Him away, don't walk away, but run to Him. Be like the Prodigal Son and return to the Father's House. He has plenty of food on the table, He'll put a ring on your finger and a robe on your back. He's your Father and He's calling you tonight.

Our New President

Congratulations to our 44th President of the United States, Barak Obama! None of us ever thought we'd see this day. I didn't vote for him because I disagree with some of his views, but I must say I am proud for him. I pray he will lead our country in the right direction and I will pray for him, because the Bible instructs us to pray for our leaders and those in authority.

Already our country seems more united. I do hope it stays that way. It is a new day and I believe God's hand continues to be upon this nation. Let us stand united for the right.

Congratulations Mr. President!
